A short introduction to Colorado Mortgage Information <www.mortgage-colorado.info> and an outline of the goals of this site.

Welcome to Colorado Mortgage Information, a site which, I hope, will be your source for mortgage and refinance information in the state of Colorado. My name is Ben, and I am starting this site because I want a place to share information about my experiences with financing in Colorado. Without a doubt, I don't have a ton of experience in this area (one mortgage, one home equity loan and a refinance to consolidate those two loans), but I'm learning more everyday. As I start this site, I am working on getting prequalified for a new mortgage, as I'm in the market for a new house in the Denver-area (I'll be upgrading from a Condo).

While I do have only limited experiences attaining mortgages and other housing-related loans, my experiences have been storied. In fact, I'm currently in the process of disputing a 30 day late on my credit report added by one of my former creditors. About 8 months ago, just as I was working on my refinance of my old loans, I had a little trouble with a payment... trouble caused by one of my former creditors misreading a check that I had sent for payment. This led to a string of events that I'll relay another time, but suffice it to say that I feel that a mistake was made by my creditor, and had they not made the mistake, my payment would never have been late.

The point of all this is that I've collected quite a bit of information in a short time, and I'm hoping that some of the things I've learned can help other Colorado residents.
